Our Story

This family band is from the Saskatchewan prairies and is of Norwegian decent.
Their surname "DAAE" is pronounced "DOE".

Their family roots in singing and farming go back to the early 1900's, and sharing the Gospel is something that they love to do as a family. Sounds of bluegrass, country and Southern Gospel have filled their family's home as well as churches, fairs, stages, radio and television broadcasts from across the country; and they want to continue in music for years to come.

"It seems like it was only yesterday when we first sang together as a family (at the Estevan Fair in 1990!) Time sure flies by. Since then we've had the honor of singing various places around Canada and the northern United States - making wonderful friends along the way. We just praise Jesus for allowing us to sing as a family; but most of all for giving us the opportunity to tell others about Him. May the Lord be glorified in ALL we do!"

Wayne and Cathy Daae are considered to be the 'founders' of the group, being the parents of the 4 siblings - Daniel, Michael, Amanda, and Crystal.

Daniel married Lauren in the summer of 2006, and Michael and Shannon were married that fall!  William Heikoop joined the family in the spring of 2015, marrying Amanda. Crystal is the youngest of the siblings and has been keeping busy at work, while her passion remains singing for the Lord!

While the group used to travel all together - Shannon and Lauren have temporarily stepped back from full-time road life to raise their growing familes.
They've added 8 grandkids to the family so far!
